Born in 1960, I grew up in Northern Manitoba, Canada.  I have spent years in colleges and universities.  Life and curiosity, experimentation and creativity drive me on.  I have for the most part, made my living by creating art.

I have taken up canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, and back-country skiing.  I used to think wild-life painting could be accomplished from the front seat of my car with a smoke in my mouth. Now I spend the most wonderful times in the wilderness. I have seen things I never dreamed of and would like to share some of it with you. Now I paint WILD-LIFE....

I have raised my son Ty, whom I live with, to his present age of 14 going on 30. I have had a lot of help over the years, from my parents and family, the community,  friends....and Ty's Dad in Calgary. What a challenge - What reward! Years ago, I was chaperoning one of our school's ski-days, and had gathered a large group of 10-12 year old boys. We were flying around the hills in new snow, sun shinin', long purple/blue shadows, thanking the spirits that be for all this glory. (I could show off a bit because I'm better than most ten yr. olds.)  My son said to another boy. "Wow my Mom sure has a lot of kids that want to ski with her." The other kid replied, "That's because your Mom Kicks Ass."  ....Made me proud.

I love this area and paint many facets of it. I am best known around here for my watercolors, however I love working in many mediums. From Welded Metal to Concrete, Acid-Etched "Ukrainian Modern" Ostrich Egg Shells to Print-making and Painting in Watercolors and Acrylic. I am Blessed!!

Take a look at my Galleries if you like. This site is a work in progress and I would benefit from your comments or ideas. Much more to come.....
